So this actually started as a comment to one of my favorite da'ers ~MPMG. But when it started turning into a novel..I decided to put it here, since none of you really know whats going on!

So, here we go!

I have been busy to say the least lately..work is more or less taking over my life.

We are finally starting to pick up from our winter slump; but with the economy in the toilet...we are doing so with less employees! They have let one of the girls in the front office go, and took the girl I had working full time with me in production and put her up front for our busy days. That leaves me with the 16 +/- hours she has left on the SLOWEST DAYS OF THE WEEK to help me out. Now considering [nearly]everything we do weekly has to be completed by Tuesday evening [damn deadlines!] and we don't get any ads for that deadline until Monday morning, it leaves me flailing in the back to get all of them done in time for pagination. To add to it...the girl they took away from me is having quite a lot of trouble with the girls who work out front [they are quite vicious when they want to be] and the horrible pay doesn't help...she is looking for another job. If she by chance actually finds one, I will never see another day off again!

For those of you who don't know, I work for a classifieds paper in the graphics department. I 'set' [aka design] the display advertising for our weekly publication, and then every Tuesday night after we close I paginate--put all of the display ads in with the classifieds and make sure it fits in the most cost-efficient amount of pages. Then I send it off to our print pressmen to be printed, cut, collated[if we have more than one section], bound and stacked on pallates to be delivered Thursday morning.

On a lighter note...that stupid car that gave me so much trouble last year [With the window, and turbo, etc etc etc] is finally up and running! And it should be too, we literally rebuilt/replaced EVERYTHING mechanical in the entire car over the 2 years we've had it. Most recently we had the engine/transmission replaced. It was actually last November we did that, but it had quite a lot of little insane problems up until about January. Cost of car + financing + repairs = $10 grand+!! And the damn thing is 14 years old!! The only good thing is, in 6 more years it will become a classic and with the amount of work done, it will run another 14 years!

There has been a lot going on in the romance department too...but I think I'll save that for next weeks installment! I have lots of stuff to take care of today and then I'm off to the rodeo!
