So I have more to be excited about

I haven't updated you all in quite a while on my whole weight-loss thing, so I will fill you in now.

I stopped taking the Phentermine after Day no.8, because they made me feel like I had a deadly case of the flu! I had the same amount of appetite on them than I did off, so I don't think it mattered in the end. So, last Thursday I went back to see the Dr., he was his same spacey self, only this time he wasn't so much of an asshole. We talked about Amino Acid supplements, to build up the neuro-transmitters in my brain; to help stave my appetite. I did some research, and apparently a lot of people dieting have the same problem with hunger ruining their diet. Then on my way out we stopped at the scale and I jumped on, expecting nothing really...and I lost 12 pounds!


thats like 3 pounds a week!

So, that was strictly dieting. I didn't really exercise much, because I thought this diet would never work. Now that I see it will...I've got an incentive to actually work on it!

I'm having a string of great days lately...



The paper I work for, along with our 4 Eastern WA affiliates, puts together a state tourism guide together each year. Today was our deadline for the 'Glossies' [ie cover; inside front cover, inside back cover, back cover, and a couple additional pages] And my co-worker and I were joking about how bad the cover was gong to be. One of the affiliate papers makes it, and its a big mess. They use the same marble effect with different colors for the background, and the overall design/typesetting is quite shabby. [I'm being very generous in my description...if it were online I'd show you all! ]

Anyhow, just for the hell of it, I decided to design a cover, and have my GM pop it over to the other paper's GM and see if they would use it instead.

I just got a call from my boss telling me that they had a few minor corrections [Probably to the areas we were covering etc etc...] but they were going to run my cover!! I'm so EXCITED!!

It will be in circulation across Washington State Memorial-Labor Day; 122,000 [I think?] copies! Talk about a great way to start off a weekend!! We are going to upload it onto our publications web site as soon as it prints; so I'll DEFINITELY be posting the link here for you all to see!
